Almost finished on the inside

Well it has taken a while but I have finally updated the blog. It has been really hectic the last few weeks driving back and forth between Auckland and Whangarei but it has been worth it.

We are all over the renovation though. Brad is sick of sleeping in the lounge room and cleaning up the dust every night!

Brad and I are really happy with how the house has shaped up. It looks completely different to the initial blog.

We will move this friday into the house. The wood floors are being laid tomorrow and Friday and the ensuite will be fitted off as well as the electrical finished. A big push. The final things will be the carpet in the bedrooms 4th April and the curtains & wardrobes when I get over the heart attack of how much these will cost on top of the build!

Love the doors. Negative detail with high gloss finish. Handles are beautiful.

Spare bedroom/ movie area for kids. Painted colour tea. This room feels great when you walk into it.

Hallway where we had the old fuse box removed. Overheight linen cupboard! Yay!

Ensuite. The tiles are in and look amazing. had the call from the builder saying the tiler had run out and they needed 3 wall tiles. We ordered them last year because of the long lead time from Italy. Luckily the showroom had 3 tiles that they lend out so we bought those.

The floor tiles
Plasma aluminium front door with negative detail. Schlage door key pad which also can be interfaced with apple products so you can open the door with your iphone. Finally a front door!!!!!

Lachlans room. I reconditioned an old metal shade that Tom found in the top of the orchard sheds. Oversized bulb really sets it off. We have done the feature wall but are looking at the map wall paper for his room.
